<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode active material which gives a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that can show a high output at a high current rate. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrode active-material, a powdery first lithium complex metal oxide which has 3 m<SP>2</SP>/g or more and 30 m<SP>2</SP>/g or less of BET specific surface area and a powdery second lithium complex metal oxide which has 0.1 m<SP>2</SP>/g or more and 2 m<SP>2</SP>/g or less of the BET specific surface area are mixed in a mixing ratio of 10 pts.wt. or more and 900 pts.wt. or less of the first lithium complex metal oxide per 100 pts.wt. of the second lithium complex metal oxide. The electrode which contains the electrode active-material is provided.
