PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for giving advice about fuel consumption for each driving operation as to whether driving is performed to further improve fuel economy. SOLUTION: This device includes a storage means for storing advice messages to show advice about a fuel consumption state for each driving operation by a driver of a vehicle and for each fuel consumption state of the vehicle according to the driving operation. For each driving operation by the driver, the fuel consumption state of the vehicle is calculated according to the driving operation. By referring to the storage means based on the selected driving operation and the fuel consumption state calculated for the driving operation according to the selection of any driving operation on a prescribed display screen, the advice message corresponding to the driving operation and the fuel consumption state is read and displayed.
