<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metal pressed powder core capable of preventing short-circuit via the external surface of the core, or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: As the method for manufacturing the metal pressed powder core, a metal mold 23 is prepared, having a movable part 31 which can move in the direction perpendicular to the extracting direction of a compact and in the direction for approaching/being isolated to/from the compact as a part which demarcates a part of a molding chamber 29. Next, the movable part is held at a position for maintaining the setting shape of the molding chamber. Next, raw powder containing metal powder and resin for insulation is filled in the molding chamber of the metal mold. The raw powder in the molding chamber is pressurized. After pressurization, the movable part is moved in the direction for separating from the compact.
