The invention refers to a disk package for a centrifuge rotor (5) of a centrifugal separator. The disk package (19) comprises a plurality of separating disk (20) provided on each other in the disk package. Each separating disk (20) extends around an axis (x) of rotation and has a tapering shape with an inner surface (22) and an outer surface (21 ) along the axis of rotation. The separating disks are pre-tensioned against each other with a pre-tensioning force. The separating disks comprise a plurality of first separating disks, which each comprises a number distance members (25). Each separating disk comprises at least a portion without distance members. The first separating disks are polar-positioned in such a way that the distance members of a separating disk abut said portion of an adjacent separating disk. The pre-tensioning force provides an abutment force between the distance members and the adjacent separating disk and an elastic deformation of said portion of at least some of the separating disks. This elastic deformation ensures during the rotation of the disk package an increase of the abutment force between the distance members and the adjacent separating disk.
