<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: high reliability of bearing sliding in a scroll compressor is not provided in association with enhanced efficiency and enhanced life of recent refrigerating air conditioners and application of high-pressure refrigerants such as carbon dioxide. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sliding bearing bush 8a is formed in such a manner that a faying surface of flat plate-shaped bearing material is chamfered and wound cylindrically, self-lubricating material 23 is filled and applied into the space 22 of a chamfered portion formed in a joint wound cylindrically, and after that, an inside diameter is finished after pressure-fitting into a bearing 8. The sliding bearing bush 8a is attached to the bearing 8. Thereby, it is possible to provide an efficient scroll compressor in a sufficient lubricating condition over the whole periphery of the bearing 8 without reducing pressure of lubricating oil from the joint.
