PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive resin composition for forming an optical waveguide which has low transmission loss and capable of inexpensively forming a waveguide pattern excellent in preciseness of the shape, and to provide an optical waveguide, and a method for forming an optical waveguide pattern. SOLUTION: The photosensitive resin composition for forming an optical waveguide contains at least an amide compound expressed in the formula (1) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>denotes 1-20C alkyl group or aromatic hydrocarbon group and R<SP>2</SP>-R<SP>5</SP>denote hydrogen atom, halogen atom or 1-4C alkyl group independently), polymer having an epoxy group, and photooxide generator.
