<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom device capable of preventing a camera from being deteriorated by the incidence of sunlight by carrying out pan tilting control in the imaging direction of the camera in a waiting direction which is previously stored at the waiting time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the intercom device composed of a door slave unit equipped with the camera and a pan tilting mechanism, and an intercom master unit freely carrying out a pan tilting operation in the imaging direction of the camera, the door slave unit is provided with: a waiting direction memory storing the imaging direction of the camera at the waiting time; and a pan tilting control section carrying out the pan tilting control in the imaging direction in which the imaging direction of the camera is stored in the awaiting direction memory when speech communication with the interphone master unit is completed.
