The parent patent described a spraying device for cooling the billet in a continuous casting plant. The nozzle manifold is located transversely w.r.t. the billet or slab, and has gps. of outlet holes for pressurised water and air, to make a mist. In each group, two holes are used for one fluid and a third hole for the other. In the present invention, the nozzle manifold is made in two symmetrical halves which form a central chamber and two side chambes. Each of the three chambes has a row of outlet holes arranged so each group consists of one hole provided by each chamber.
