<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag capable of stabilizing an inflation-completed shape of a bag body by improving a tensile strength of a tether. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag 50 includes: the bag body 51; and the tether 57 for coupling walls 52 and 53 of the bag body 51, and has a substantial plate-like shape as its inflation-completed shape. The tether 57 couples the walls 52 and 53 by sewing both ends arranged apart each other up on the respective walls 52, 53 in a width direction. The tether 57 has a folded part 72 formed by folding a tethering ground fabric 69 at both ends in a direction along sewed portions 60, 61 with the walls 52, 53. The folded part 62 is superimposed on the body 70 of the tethering ground fabric 69 over a substantially entire region in a length direction of the sewed portions 60, 61 at a portion where the sewed portions 60, 61 with the tether 57 and the walls 52, 53 are arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
