<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AGC (Automatic Gain Control) circuit performing stable temperature control by reducing errors, caused by the temperature correction for gain characteristics of AGC amplifiers. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The AGC circuit 11 includes a plurality of AGC amplifiers 12, 13 arrayed in series and controls in parallel gains of the plurality of AGC amplifiers 12, 13 in accordance with a common AGC voltage. The AGC circuit 11 further includes a linearity correction circuit 14 for correcting the AGC voltage in such a way that output characteristics from the plurality of AGC amplifiers 12, 13 become linear with respect to the AGC voltage.
