The invention relates to a current rectifying device (25) for a polyphase rotating electrical machine, said device comprising at least two current rectifying modules (100), each of a different phase of the machine, and an axially open housing (26, 27) consisting of a mouldable, electrically insulating material provided with a plurality of transversal recesses (600), at least two of said recesses (600) being used to receive a current rectifying device (100) and being defined by walls (30) pertaining to a lower part (27) of the housing. The polyphase rotating electrical machine is characterised in that it comprises such a device. The invention can be applied to an alternator or an alternator starter of a motor vehicle.
