<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat-face display device having a constitution and a structure, capable of reducing relative luminance fluctuations of pixels along a spacer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the flat-face display device, an anode panel AP and a cathode panel CP are jointed at an outer periphery part, and a space SP pinched by the cathode panel CP and the anode panel AP is held in vacuum, with a spacer 40 arranged in between the anode panel AP and the cathode panel CP. The spacer 40 is structured of a spacer base material 41, made of a ceramic material and an antistatic film 43 formed on its side face; here, if the electrical resistance value between a top-end face of the spacer base material facing the anode panel and a lower end face of the spacer base material facing the cathode panel is R<SB>B</SB>, and the electrical resistance value between a spacer top-end face facing the anode panel and a spacer lower-end face facing the cathode panel is R<SB>A</SB>, relation R<SB>A</SB>/R<SB>B</SB>≥0.9 is satisfied.
