PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for reliably establishing a connection between a supplier apparatus which outputs predetermined information and an apparatus for receiving the information output from the supplier apparatus, and to provide a communication control program for exerting the function of the receiver apparatus. SOLUTION: When an application of an information receiving apparatus is started, the system inquires a communication apparatus about a port to be used, determines whether the port is available or not, and sets it as a port for communication when it is available. Consequently, a reliable connection is achieved. The communication apparatus makes port settings (port management) for establishing a connection with the information receiving apparatus, so that it is not required to arbitrate the port to be used among a plurality of applications stored in the information receiving apparatus, thereby facilitating management and reducing management costs.
