PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse synchro device for a manual transmission, capable of securing a friction torque capacity during the connection of two reverse idler gears without increasing dimension. SOLUTION: An inner ring 44 is pivotally supported with a reverse idler shaft 4 provided between two reverse idler gears 41 and 42, and an intermediate ring 45 to be friction-engaged with the periphery of the inner ring 44 is arranged in the radial direction of the inner ring 44, and a balk ring 46 to be friction-engaged with the periphery of the intermediate ring 45 is arranged in the radial direction of the intermediate ring 45. With this structure, a space for securing a friction torque capacity during the connection of the two reverse idler gears 41 and 42 can be secured in the radial direction of the reverse idler shaft 4 without increasing the dimension of the reverse synchro device 1.
