Digital signals are transmitted over a communication channel having a given bandwidth, by simultaneously transmitting: - one or more Spread Spectrum signals, such as Code Division Multiple Access signals (HSPAU1, HSPAU2, HSPAD1, HSPAD2), wherein the spectrum of the Spread Spectrum signals (HSPA) exhibits roll-off transition bands (TR) at the boundaries of the spectrum, and - one or more multi-carrier transmission signal, such as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing signals (LTEu, LTED), which are transmitted over the transition bands (TR) of the Spread Spectrum signals (HSPAu1, HSPAU2, HSPA01, HSPA02).
