<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely cut off intrusion of muddy water and dust, by improving follow-up performance to relative displacement in the axial direction between the stationary side and the rotary side, in a sealing device having a structure for cutting off the intrusion of the muddy water and the dust by a highly rigid cover. <P>SOLUTION: This sealing device has a first sealing element 1 installed in one of the stationary side and the rotary side, and a second sealing element 2 installed in the other. The first sealing element 1 has a reinforcing ring 11, seal lips 13 and 14 arranged in this reinforcing ring 11 and a protective plate 17 positioned and arranged on the outside of these seal lips 13 and 14, and the second sealing element 2 has the cover 26 brought into close contact in the radial direction with a tip cylinder part 17c formed on the protective plate 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
