FUNCTIONAL PARTICLE AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional particle excellent in workability which can efficiently adsorb impurities and separate them by magnetism at high speed in water treatment.

SOLUTION: A magnetic particle has an amphipathic group on the surface, of which the main chain is formed only with covalent bonds. The amphipathic group has a hydrophilic part consisting of a hydrocarbon group and a hydrophobic part consisting of a structure such as an alkylene oxide. The hydrophobic group has the function of adsorbing impurities, and the hydrophilic group has the function of stably dispersing the functional particles in water.
