<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for automatically selecting a favorable schema image based on input at an indicated part on a taken image by a user. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus makes region information indicating a human body region and a schema image as a diagram of the human body region a set, and holds a plurality of the sets. The image processing apparatus obtains a taken image indicating the interior of a patient's body, obtains hierarchical structure information including region information globally indicating a region corresponding to an indicated part for the taken image and region information locally indicating the region, obtains a set including region information included in the hierarchical structure information, and outputs a schema image included in the obtained set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
