<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional input device in which thinning can be promoted easily, and for example, tilting operation by two stages can be achieved without sacrificing the thinning. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Respective second contact parts 42 protruded from the outer peripheral edge of a drive plate part 41 of an operation body 4 and respective third contact parts 52 of a frame state fixed contactor 5 externally mounted on the base 1 so as to surround the operation body 4 are engaged, and upward movement of the operation body 4 becomes to be regulated. If the drive plate part 41 is tilted against energizing force of an elastic piece 32 of a movable contactor 3, since second and third contact parts 42, 52 engaged at one end side in the diameter direction of the operation body 4 become tilting fulcrums and the drive plate part 41 contacts the first contact part 31 at the other end side in the diameter direction, via the first contact part 31, the conductive operation body 4, and an inverse spring 2 or the like, the third contact part 52 and the conductive part 11 positioned at the tilting fulcrum are conducted. If the drive plate part 41 is further tilted in this state, the inverse spring 2 is inverted and the center fixed contact 12 can be conducted to the third contact part 52.
