PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of large noise by preventing an optical cover, which covers a polygon mirror, from resonating in an optical deflector provided in an optical scanner, which forms an electrostatic latent image by performing an optical writing on a body to be scanned is formed being an image carrier. SOLUTION: For example, the polygon mirror 57, which is a rotating polygon mirror, is fitted at the end of the rotation shaft 55a of a polygon motor 55 after the polygon motor 55 is fitted on a supporting body 56. And the optical cover 58 is fitted on the supporting body by fitting to the screw holes of the supporting body after inserting respective screws 59 into three holes provided on the flange part 58a of the optical cover after covering the polygon mirror with the optical cover 58. And the base end of a pressurizing member 60, which is provided on the optical deflector and the end part of which pressurizing member pressurizes the top face central part of the optical cover, is fitted on a housing lower plate 50a with screws 61, and the optical deflector is pressurized by the pressurizing member.
