A first ramp waveform (L2) dropping from first potential (Vsus) to second potential (-Vad+Vset2) is applied to a scanning electrode belonging to a first group of scanning electrodes during an initialization period of a first SF. On the other hand, a second ramp waveform (L3) dropping from third potential (Vsus+Vscn) higher than the first potential (Vsus) to fourth potential (-Vad+Vscn) higher than the second potential (-Vad+Vset2) is applied to a scanning electrode belonging to a second group of scanning electrodes. In addition, during a write period of the first SF, a third ramp waveform (L4) dropping to the second potential (-Vad+Vset2) and a scanning pulse (Pa) are successively applied after the scanning pulse (Pa) is applied sequentially to the scanning electrodes belonging to the first group of electrodes.
