PURPOSE: A document storage apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to enable both a user and an administrator to store and manage documents at a remote site without persons. CONSTITUTION: A document storage apparatus(100) comprises a document case(40), a controller(70), and a kiosk(5). The document case is installed according to the stored position of the document. The door is selectively and automatically opened and closed corresponding to the management information of the document. The controller controls a locking part(50) installed on the document case, produces the look-up table, and stores the document list.
