<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt drive unit can restrain a belt from being extension-fluctuated caused by load fluctuation, can stabilize belt driving, and can drive highly precisely the belt. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer belt 15 is constituted as an elastic belt, a driving belt 20 is arranged in an inside of the transfer belt 15, and the driving belt 20 is constituted as a highly rigid belt. The intermediate transfer belt 15 is excellent in transferability of a toner image because constituted as the elastic belt. The intermediate transfer belt 15 is driven without generating the fluctuation in belt extension or without being affected by the fluctuation in the belt extension generated in other portion, since a driving force is transmitted from the driving belt 20 of the highly rigid belt to the transfer belt 15 by a face, in a belt section desired to be stably driven, even when the various kinds of load fluctuation are generated in the intermediate transfer belt 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
