<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle headlamp improved in visibility. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle headlamp is provided with a semiconductor type light source 2, a main reflection surface 12, a first auxiliary reflection surface 16, a shade 4, a second auxiliary reflection surface 17, a third auxiliary reflection surface 18, and a fourth auxiliary reflection surface 19. The shade 4 forms a low-beam light distribution pattern for passing LP that has cut-off lines CL1, CL2, CL3. The first auxiliary reflection surface 16 and the second auxiliary reflection surface 17 form an overhead sign light distribution pattern OP. The first auxiliary reflection surface 16, the third auxiliary reflection surface 18, and the fourth auxiliary reflection surface 19 form an auxiliary light distribution pattern SP between the low-beam light distribution pattern for passing LP having cut-off lines CL1, CL2, CL3 and the overhead sign light distribution pattern OP. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
