<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of carrying out color shift control and skewing compensation at a low cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes at least an image forming means (image forming unit 2) for forming an image using color materials of one color or two or more colors on a recording medium (printing sheet 18), and a plurality of conveyance belts (B1, B2) arranged in the recording medium width direction by a predetermined interval for conveying the recording medium to the image forming means facing thereto.
