PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner capable of suppressing the temperature rise of a deflector (2). SOLUTION: The recessed portion (B1) of a cover (10) and the walls (3)of a deflector housing part (B2) are connected via an intermediate member (14), the first opening of the cover (10) and the second opening of the intermediate member (14) define a single continuous space (B) (space composed of B1+B2) isolating the recessed portion (B1) and the deflector housing portion (B2) from an optical element housing portion (A), and air is circulated between the recessed portion (B1) and the deflector housing portion (B2) via the first opening of the cover (10) and the second opening of the intermediate member (14).
