PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a mobile crane, securing appropriate rear stable performance capacity while expanding an operation area. SOLUTION: In the mobile crane, a boom 4 is arranged in a manner capable of rising and falling on a turning base 3 mounted on a carrier 1, and a counterweight 6 is arranged in a rear part of the turning base 3. The mobile crane is provided with: an operation state detection means 10 of the mobile crane; and a control means 27 for receiving detection information and a turning direction signal from a turning operation detection means 18 for detecting a turning operation direction of the boom 4 and for calculating a limit turning angle at which rear stable performance of the mobile crane is switched and, if there is a risk of backward overturning as being turned exceeding the limit turning angle, controlling the turning movement to stop at a limit turning angle position. With this structure, all the areas where operation can be safely conducted from the view point of the rear stable performance can be specified as operable areas, and the performance of the mobile crane is improved by expansion of the operation areas while securing appropriate rear stable performance.
