<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for restraining a horizontal force in base-isolating work, which enables a restraining force to be exerted in all directions by a simple constitution, and which can reduce the cost of members. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for restraining the horizontal force in the base-isolating work, a tubular earthquake-resisting plate 1 for being erected on a lower foundation 2 and an upper foundation 4 is formed in the base-isolating work of an existing building, and set on the lower foundation constructed during the base-isolating work; the upper foundation is constructed on the upper position of the lower foundation; after that, the tubular earthquake-resisting plate 1 is lifted upward from the lower foundation 2 and erected between the upper and lower foundations; subsequently, a grout material is infilled between the inside wall surface of the tubular earthquake-resisting plate 1 and the wall surfaces of the upper and lower foundations, so that they can be integrated together; and the existing building is restrained not to be displaced horizontally during earthquakes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
