<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting a communication property in a community accurately extracting the degree of discussion within the community regardless of whether the community is developing with a short time passage from its establishment or matured. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device 100 for detecting the property detects, among 3-partial graphs which are combination patterns of three users among users participating in the community, the number of 3-partial graphs in which a change showing activation of discussion is caused, detects the time required for the activation of discussion, and determines that the community is higher in the degree of discussion as the number of 3-partial graphs with the change showing activation of discussion in the community is larger, or the time required for the activation of discussion is shorter.
