<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve a plasma display panel of high brightness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The plasma display panel includes: a front substrate in which a dielectric layer is formed so as to cover a plurality of display electrodes formed on the substrate and a protective layer is formed on that dielectric layer; a rear substrate 6 arranged opposed to the front substrate so as to form a discharge space, in which data electrodes 7 are formed in a direction crossing the display electrodes, and barrier ribs 9 to partition the discharge spaces are formed; a phosphor layer 10 formed between the barrier ribs 9 of the rear substrate 6; and a reflecting layer 11 formed between the phosphor layer 10 and the barrier ribs 9. The reflecting layer 11 is formed by coating an ink composed of a plate like material 14, a solvent and a dispersant on the barrier rib 9 and between the barrier ribs 9.
