<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter apparatus for preventing excessive current from flowing even if an AC power supply is erroneously connected to a load-side terminal of an inverter part, preventing explosion and firing of a smoothing capacitor and preventing damage of a peripheral component even if the smoothing capacitor is broken owing to short-circuiting by a certain cause. <P>SOLUTION: The inverter apparatus is equipped with: a semiconductor switch 11 connected between the smoothing capacitor 2 and DC bus bars 4 and 5 in series; a CT13 detecting current flowing in the semiconductor switch 11; and an over current protecting circuit 14 interrupting the semiconductor switch 11 when the current detected by the CT13 exceeds a previously set over current setting value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
