<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent comparison between non-corresponding metering values between a combination balance and a weight selector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Combination articles discharged after metered by the combination balance 1 are carried to the weight selector 4 by a conveyer 3, and the weight selector 4 again meters the articles. A CPU 9 measures the carrying time elapsed until the combination articles discharged from the combination balance 1 reach the weight selector 4. The CPU 9 compares the measured carrying time with a preset standard carrying time, and determines whether or not the combination articles are normally carried from the combination balance 1 through the conveyer 3 to the weight selector 4.
