PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve selection accuracy of a character string that corrects a character recognition processing result of a paper document. SOLUTION: A document processor 10 associates and stores a first item included in a first paper document and a second item included in a second paper document; stores a character string associatively to the first item, recognizes a character string from an image area, corresponding to the second item included in the second paper document; and associatively sets the character string stored, to the first item as a correction candidate of the character string recognized from the image area corresponding to the second item.
