PURPOSE: By positioning the protrusion corresponding to a part of the case between the surface electrode and metal terminal the manufacturing method of the electronic component unit and electronic component unit controls the dielectric breakdown. CONSTITUTION: An electronic component(10) comprises the component body and the metal terminal fixed to the component body. The electronic component is accepted in the case(30). The leading end of the metal terminal exposes by the outside of the case. The inside of the case is molded to resin. The case has the first part(40) and the second part(60). In the first part is the inside of the case, the protrusion expanded as the second part is had. The leading end of the metal terminal is projected to the outside of the case.
