<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine engine system reduced in weight and manufacturable at low cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This gas turbine engine system 1 includes first and second gas turbine engines 10, 20, a starter generator 17 for starting the first gas turbine engine 10, and an extraction pipe 3. The extraction pipe 3 functions as an extraction introducing means for introducing the compressed air extracted from the compressor 11 of the first gas turbine engine 10 into the turbine 23 of the second gas turbine engine 20. After the gas turbine engine 10 is started, the compressed air extracted from the compressor 11 is introduced into a turbine 23 via the extraction pipe 3 to rotatingly drive the turbine 23.
