A method of working the melt of metal consists in that by the action of electromagnetic forces is created in the local area a flow of melt, which is processed by pulse pressure due to the electrohydroimpulse action from the electric discharge chamber with the electrodes and submerged in the flow of melt waveguide rod. In this case is ensured the circulation of melt in such a way that as minimum once entire volume of melt is subjected to the electrohydroimpulse action. Electrohydroimpulse action is carried out until the temperature of melt is lowered to the temperature of teeming, after which waveguide rod is removed from the flow of melt. Instead of the rod is introduced a lined riser, through which by action of electromagnetic forces the melt of metal is supplied to the teeming container, into which is introduced waveguide rod, and is achieved electrohydroimpulse action on the melt simultaneously with its teeming into the pouring form.
