<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary battery whose performance is not deteriorated and whose flame retardancy is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The battery includes a cathode, an anode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution contains a gas generating agent composed of an azide compound as a flame retardant. The azide compound is a compound that generates nitrogen gas by heating at a temperature of ≥its decomposition temperature, and the compound having a decomposition temperature of 120 to 250°C is added in 1 to 30 wt.% in the nonaqueous electrolyte solution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
