PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit having a mechanism capable of effectively reducing noise generated by a blower without a large cost burden in comparison with conventional technology, and to provide an air conditioner equipped with the outdoor unit. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises the outdoor unit and an indoor unit, and the outdoor unit includes an outdoor unit body housing a heat exchanger and equipped with an air suction part, the blower, a first sound absorbing type flow path being a flow path of air provided between the blower and the outdoor unit body and having a flow path side wall composed of a layer of sound absorbing material, and a second sound absorbing type flow path being a flow path of air provided so as to hold the blower with the first sound absorbing type flow path and having a flow path side wall composed of a layer of sound absorbing material.
