PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an effective and appropriate seismic control structure intended for a multistoried building. SOLUTION: In this seismic control structure for being applied to the multistoried building, a TMD mechanism 1, in which a rotary inertia mass damper 1a and an additional spring 1b are disposed in series, is installed between arbitrary stories of a structure constituting the multistoried building; and the natural frequency of the TMD mechanism is synchronized with the primary natural frequency of the structure. A rotary inertia mass damper as a vibration interruption mechanism 2 is installed between the other arbitrary stories of the structure; and natural frequency, which is determined by the inertia mass and story stiffness of the rotary inertia mass damper, is synchronized with an arbitrary interrupted frequency. A viscoelastic damper such as an oil damper 3 is installed in the story in which the TMD mechanism 1 and the vibration interruption mechanism 2 are installed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
