<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a putty mixing method uniformly kneading putty in a short period of time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The putty mixing method includes a mixing vessel 6 normally rotating at a constant speed, a rocking arm 2 for mixing blades rocking in the mixing vessel 6, a drive gear driving the rocking arm 2, and the method further includes a gear 16 rotating the mixing vessel 6, and a drive gear 10 meshed with the gear 16 and driving the rocking arm 2. The rocking arm 2 is continuously provided to the drive gear via a crank mechanism, and a gear ratio setting the rotation period of the mixing vessel 6 and the rocking period of the rocking arm 2 is set to 2:3. The turning of the rocking arm 2 is stopped in a preset rotation angle of the mixing vessel 6, a mixing blade 3 is formed to come in contact with the inner face of the mixing vessel 6, and the rocking arm 2 are made to reciprocate two times while the mixing vessel 6 rotates three times.
