<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink for thermal inkjet recording, which is excellent in stability with time of glossiness and ejection stability. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink for thermal inkjet recording includes polymer particles containing a colorant, a water-insoluble organic compound selected from the group comprising ester compounds and ether compounds, and an alkane polyol. The polymer is essentially constituted of one or more kinds of constitutive units selected from the group comprising a constitutive unit derived from a salt forming group-containing monomer (a), a constitutive unit derived from (meth)acrylate-based macromer (b), a constitutive unit derived from an alkyl ester or aryl ester (c) of (meth)acrylic acid, and a constitutive unit derived from alkanediyl oxide ester (d) of (meth)acrylic acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
