<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp for changing emission colors as appropriate so that an optional atmosphere is brought about. <P>SOLUTION: The compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp 10 includes a plurality of fluorescent lamps 4, 5, a base 1 to be inserted into a socket, and lighting control circuits 14-16 which lighting control the plurality of fluorescent lamps 4, 5 using power supplied from a power supply through the base 1.
