摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an organic EL device capable of getting a desirable light-emitting characteristics by using a liquid discharge method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the organic EL device includes: a first discharging step of discharging a liquid material onto the film-forming region (light-emitting pixel 7) of a mother board W; a second discharging step of discharging a liquid material or a solvent to a dummy pixel 7a formed on a peripheral region 9 surrounding a plurality of film-forming regions (light-emitting pixels 7); and a drying step of drying the discharged liquid material or solvent and for forming at least a light-emitting layer onto the film-forming region (light-emitting pixel 7). The second discharging step characteristically increases the discharging amount of the liquid material or the solvent onto the dummy pixel 7a much more than that onto the film-forming region (light-emitting pixel 7), based on the profile of a drying speed on the mother board W in the drying step.
