<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent faulty recording caused by indefinite factors such as mismatching when generating waveform data, data corruption when transferring, and malfunction of a circuit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The head driving device includes: a waveform data output means (124) which outputs waveform data of driving voltage for operating a pressure generating element corresponding to each nozzle of an inkjet head (110) having the plurality of nozzles; an image data transmitting means (121) which transmits image data for controlling ejection of each nozzle to the inkjet head (110); and a monitoring means (160) which monitors output timing of amplitude data of the waveform data relative to transmission timing of the image data and outputs error information when the output timing is waveform timing that does not fulfill a specified condition.
