PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for withdrawing coke from a cooling tower of a coke dry quenching facility, in which a belt conveyer can be prevented from being burned out by the coke withdrawn from the bottom end of the cooling tower when the red-heated coke cooled in the cooling tower of the coke dry quenching facility is withdrawn from the bottom end of the cooling tower and conveyed on the belt conveyer. SOLUTION: When the red-heated coke C cooled in the cooling tower 11 of the coke dry quenching facility is withdrawn from the bottom end of the cooling tower and conveyed on the belt conveyer 20, the temperature of the coke withdrawn from the bottom end of the cooling tower is detected by a temperature detector 22 arranged incidentally to the bottom end of the cooling tower, and when the temperature detected by the temperature detector 22 is equal to or lower than the preset temperature, the coke is withdrawn from the bottom end of the cooling tower.
