<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely avoid excessive rise of fuel pressure during fuel cut in a fuel supply device for an engine controlling a fuel pump so as to set a pressure in fuel piping downstream a fuel pump closer to a target fuel pressure. <P>SOLUTION: When pressure in the fuel piping gets higher than the target fuel pressure in a so-called fuel cut state in which fuel injection by a fuel injection valve is temporally stopped, an electromagnetic relief valve opening and closing a relief pipe returning fuel in the fuel piping to a fuel tank is opened, and fuel in the fuel piping is returned into the fuel tank. Consequently, excessive rise of pressure of fuel in the fuel piping is inhibited, preventing fuel leak from the fuel injection valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
