<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server monitoring system allowing reduction of human operation by use of existing infrastructure environment, and allowing simultaneous and easy remote control to a plurality of servers by e-mail, and to provide a program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: This server monitoring system has a memory holding a common table 111 storing information necessary for monitoring of the servers capable of being accessed from all the servers (104, 120, 121, 122). Each of all the servers is provided with a self-monitoring means (an internal monitoring processing part) 109 monitoring its own server in reference to the common table. One of the plurality of servers is set to a master server 104, and the master server is provided with a server monitoring means (not show in Figure) monitoring all the other servers. By combining monitoring functions of the self-monitoring means and the server monitoring means, all the servers are integrally monitored.
