<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit capable of reducing an erroneous operation of a control circuit even if a reference voltage is the same as a drive voltage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The power supply unit includes: a constant voltage circuit 41 for generating a reference voltage (Vref) from an input voltage (Vin) and outputting the reference voltage (Vref) to a control circuit 37; a voltage step-down circuit 43 for stepping down the input voltage (Vin) to generate a drive voltage (Vcc) and outputting the drive voltage (Vcc) to the control circuit 37; and a reset circuit 67 for outputting a reset signal (rst) to the control circuit 37 when the input voltage (Vin) becomes not more than an operation lower limit voltage (Vt) of the constant voltage circuit 41.
