BROADCASTING RECEIVING APPARATUS BASED ON DOWNLOADABLE CONDITIONAL ACCESS SYSTEM AND SECURITY METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A broadcast reception device based on DCAS and a securing method thereof are provided to encode transceiving messages between an SM module and a transmission processor in order to guarantee the security of a set top box based on DCAS(Downloadable Conditional Access System). CONSTITUTION: A security module(330) registers a module for security channel formation. An SM(Secure Micro) module(300) interprets a transmitted message through a data channel. The SM module generate a security message. A DCAS host module(310) relays the security message to a transmission processor(320). The transmission processor shares security related algorithms with a CAS(Conditional Access System) client(306). The transmission processor descrambles a transmission stream by decoding the security message.
