STATE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD BASED ON INSTANT MESSAGING PLATFORM

The invention discloses a state management system and method based on an instant messaging platform. The system includes clients, register application servers, presence (PS) application servers and at least a third-party server. The method is: the third-party server searches its database according to the client login information, obtains the client's group information and the member information of the group, and returns the client's group information and the member information of the group to the client; then the client sends its current state and group information to the PS application server, and after receiving the above information the PS application server sends the states of other on-line members in the group to the client and forwards the client's current state to other on-line members in the group. The invention separates the user management and the state management in the instant messaging communication, wherein the PS application server only manages the state management, and packet and user information are specially stored in the additional third-party server. The invention not only decreases the load of other sections in the system, but also reduces the network overhead, and operates smoothly.
